He doesn't talk much. His expressions do the job for his voice and they are fairly easy to pick up on. When he gets angry he scowls which may as well be a death glare. Basma is very good with children and desires to settle down quickly into a proper relationship to start a family of his own. He has mixed feelings about his childhood as he had a hard time adjusting to having two parents when his dad found a new partner.

He likes seeing new creations made by his dad and then most likely accidently destroing them.

Loves children very much and has a high tolerance for being being around them. He has a hard time interacting with adults who are childish.

Basma fiddled with his tie and smoothed down his hair before lightly pressing the doorbell. He had felt anxious for the past few weeks as he never thought he would actually agree to meet someone through his advertisements. This somehow felt different to him. He had seen pictures and chatted lightly with this man for a little under a week. Basma didn't seem to get much information out of him but was curious enough to settle with what he already knew. 'This man is an inventor like my father...and he has kids' He thought to himself as the door slowly opened.

He works as a lawyer on weekends and sets his own schedule. During the week he is basically a stay at home dad keeping a close eye on his kids. Currently he is trying his best to fit in with Jaecar.

In his past he lived in Michigan with his father the inventor. Basma was constantly breaking his dad's inventions on accident... He spent much of his time studying earning his law degree. Later down the road he started panicking slightly when he realized he wanted a family. Instead of meeting others face to face he signed on to be a mail order husband. He seems to be a very serious kalon and has a hard time taking most jokes. Unfortunately when he met Jaecar it was because someone was pulling a harsh drawn out joke on them both. When he showed up at Jaecar's house ready to marry him they both got a long pause. Jaecar was really upset about it but refused to let Basma leave because the the prankster would get his money back. So they ended up living together and learning to love each other. Basma still breaks things all the time though...

Prompt 1: How do your Kalons spend the Holidays?

The Mail Order Husband and the stress of the Holidays

Basma held onto Rowen tightly afraid of only the thought of dropping the precious child that had given him so much happiness. He stifled a small giggle as he heard Rowen squeak with excitement as the star on the tree lit up twinkling and filling their eyes with sparkles. He made a half turn bringing the ball of joy to his chest before seeing the untrusting eyes of their father judging Basma seemingly harshly. It took Jaecar only a moment to crush the feeling of happiness that was welting in Basma's heart. His face grew angry still upset by these small moments that made him feel unwanted. If he had planned anything harsh for this family he probably would have done it by now. Basma was easily bigger than Jaecar and it would have only taken him a moment to do real harm. He felt hurt by the feelings of untrust still between them after all this time. He placed Rowen on his feet gently turning quickly to take a seat as far away as he could get. Well part of it was true, that he fled, but he also hopelessly loved the lounge chair that seemed to seep with the warmth of the well loved material. Jaecar's eyes seemed to follow a thought as Rowen creeped up to him by the couch. Basma only saw flashes of moments when Jaecar paused like this normally it was an odd out of place thing when he wasn't caught up in his work. The moment passed and Basma nearly turned his head back to the tree still wishing to wash away the way the thought of Jaecar's eyes. Although he didn't look away and he saw Jaecar happily wrapping his arms around Rowen. The tension melted away and Basma felt the warmth of a family... one that he at least could happily watch alone.
