darkpelt is a warrior and is perfectly content with that. he loved fernstar, and lost his tail trying to save her. bloodwolf, who pulled him back, attacked him, saying "no. it's her time." when he tried to kill bloodwolf for letting his only love die, bloodwolf clawed off his tail, leaving it docked. darkpelt brought fernstar's dying body back to camp, in the hopes that goldenpaw and threeleg could save her, but moonflower was in labour - to no kits. all had been just phantoms her body had created. darkpelt regrets trying to confess to fernstar - because two lives could have been saved.
