Personality:
Alaska has a calm persona about her, a rather quiet and mature sima yet with warm intentions. This sima grew up in the cold tundra, but she learned to bring warmth into all her loved one's hearts, almost as if Christmas is all the time for her. When she has visitors, she will cook up a great feast and send everyone home with leftovers and a slice of pie. Candles are all about through her house, many being Sugared Plum scented to make her place seem just as welcoming as she tries to be. She even leaves a lantern with a candle outside her house to welcome in anyone who would like to chat and share a snack. Her favorite pastime is reading books of all types and has a pretty extensive library. Alaska is an overall friendly sima, but she tends to be a little too doting, especially towards kits. To kits, she reminds them of the aunt who will fill their plate with too much food and give them too many kisses. But in all reality, she just loves company, as living in her small little home can get lonely.

A short story
It was a mid December day, but there was already snow on the ground. More than on the ground, everywhere. From the tops of the mountains, to the edge of the porch. And Alaska could smell it in the air. She smiled to herself. She loved the scent of the arriving snowstorm. It reminded her of her days in the tundra as a young kit. She shivered and gently wrapped the violet scarf around her neck to keep herself just a bit warmer. She decided to do some baking. In the snow, she was well known in the area to provide meals and warmth.
Sure enough, that snowstorm became a blizzard, leaving everyone in their homes. No one was going to go out when everything that could be seen was pure white. Alaska peered out the window and frowned. It was beginning to grow dark. Days ended so early in December. She just hoped no one would get trapped out there. A knock suddenly came from the door, stopping her train of thought. Oh? She didn't think anyone would be out there, or even know to come here. There was no visibility outside, and certainly her lantern candle must have blown out. But she was happy to let anyone in. She made her way to the door.
Alaska opened the door, and a strong gust rushed in, along with stray snowflakes. The porch kept most out of her house, at least. But a female sima stood there, holding a pair of skis. She looked bewildered.
"Hi, um... Mind helping me out? I didn't quite expect the blizzard to be this bad. I was making my way to the mountains to ski and I got a little caught," she said, almost seeming embarrassed. Alaska wondered why. But she gave the female sima a smile.
"Of course, come on in! I have a pie in the oven. I have a generator running, so we will have power. Feel free to stay until it's over!" she told her kindly. The other female smiled and sighed in relief.
"Oh, thank you. I normally know my snow, but this time I know it's best to take shelter. I couldn't possibly make it up the mountain," she said before pausing. "What's that smell? It smells pretty good... And fruity..." Alaska smiled.
"Oh, those are just my candles. Or the pie, but how about we go sit by the fire and talk. I quite enjoy skiing myself!" The other female sima smiled a bit shyly and sat her skis down.
"That sounds nice... Do you have hot chocolate?" Alaska nodded.
"Of course I do! I have everything. Living by the northern mountains means you've got to be prepared." She laughed softly, leading the other sima to the fire once she was ready. "Anyway, what's your name?" she asked the sima curiously. The female blinked.
"Oh, my name's December. I know, ironic to meet me in December." But Alaska laughed.
"My name's Alaska, and I came from Alaska. So not that much different! But it's nice to meet you, December."
"It's nice to meet you too!"

...And that's how Alaska and December became friends, the end!

Personality: Smudge is a very curious sima who enjoys exploring and discovering new things, and has an adventurous spirit, although she can be a bit timid when it comes to confrontation and does her best to avoid it. She has seemingly boundless energy and can sometimes be too energetic for others to keep up with, but there's just so much to do and see! She loves watching the changing seasons and loves each season equally for the different beauty it brings, but snow winters might be the most fun- who doesn't love making snowmen and having snowball fights? Smudge enjoys making new friends and making others smile with jokes, gifts or thoughtful gestures. She is something of a people-pleaser and likes seeing the people around her happy. Smudge also has something of a sweet tooth, and one of her favourite things about the holidays are all the yummy treats that everyone makes- she especially loves cinnamon rolls and gingerbread cookies (especially when she gets to help decorate them too).

Relationship with Adhita: Adhita is a young, orphaned Sima whom Smudge met when she was out on a walk one day during the winter, enjoying the newly fallen snow in the early morning before it had been marred by the footprints of other simas. The distraught little kit looked like she was freezing, so Smudged stopped to ask if she was alright, and if she was out alone. She found out that her name was Adhita and that she had lost her way back to the orphanage where she lived, so Smudge offered her the lilac scarf she was wearing, figuring she could just buy another one later, seeing as this kit needed it more than she did, and helped her find her way back. Whenever her path took her past the orphanage, Smudge would keep an eye out for the highlighter coloured mop of fur, and sometimes stop to chat if Adhit was outside already. A while later she came across the same kit again, but this time she was with what looked like a little family- a motherly looking sima and another kit that looked about Adhita's age. When Adhit saw Smudge she ran over and gave the older sima a hug. "I don't have to live at the orphanage anymore! Do you want to meet my new family?" she asked excitedly, and soon Smudge was being introduced, and after Adhita told the story of how Sumdge had helped her out, being invited over for dinner. Smudge became fast friends with Adhita's adoptive mother, Lunae, and goes to visit her and the kits sometimes, when her wanderings and exporations take her over to their neck of the woods.
