drawing faces is real dang hard, So here's what I try to keep in mind when I'm doing it:
1. the eyes are at the center of the head. I know it's weird to think about because you have a hairline, but the distance from the top of the scalp to the center of the eye, and the distance from the center of the eye to the bottom of the chin are about the same.
2. the corner of the eye is level with the top of the ear, the corner of the nose is level with the bottom of the ear.
3. The nose is about an eye long.
4. The corners of the mouth can usually be drawn with a line directly down from the pupils.
5. When I'm drawing realistically, I don't add hard outlines for the lips: a shadow underneath the lower lip does nicely, and I'll colour the whole thing in if the person is wearing lipstick
Guess what, though? Every human face is different. There proportions are guidelines, not rules.
About profiles? I'm still trying to figure them out myself, so I can't give you much advice of substance. Probably the chin and mouth should protrude farther than the forehead? Keep the proportions in mind. Sorry, dude.
Here's where I think your problems lie:
1. Your face is quite short. Faces are less of a circle with a chin, more of a venn diagram, if that makes sense...?
2. The irises are very large? I'm not sure how proportionally large they should be, but there should be a good amount of space on each side.
3. Eyes should be central on head.
That's really it, I think.
Once last thing: The human face is a real pain to draw (I mean, you knew that) but the most important thing is that you practice! Draw from life! Draw your favorite actors and singers! Scroll down this blog and draw someone! HERE is a tool that randomly throws faces at you (Though you have to set it to faces, and not poses. If you just click start without setting the button to "faces", there is a chance that you will get a nude model)!
GOOD LUCK!!
