Nile River Equids #132

Postby silver ~ » Fri Dec 09, 2016 6:03 am

What are Nile River Equids?

Nile River Equids (NREs) are a sub-breed of Mustangs who were discovered to be living in Africa. They tend to range anywhere from 12 hh to 16 hh, while there have been known to be slightly smaller or larger. These horses tend to be able to sustain themselves on a minimal amount of water and food, they can travel long distances and have extraordinary stamina. The people who discovered these animals found that they were extraordinarily friendly and the braided tails are a sign that the NRE is domesticated or belongs to another person.

    Name:Esperanza
    Gender:Mare
    Age:5
    Extra/s:
Likes: family and friends, cross country, foals, grooming
Dislikes: loud noises, cats
Personality: Esper is all kind and all loving, all she wants to do is care for her herd.
She can be a little wild while being ridden so has to be kept under control. She adores cross country and is always willing to get on the track.
Although she can be such a wild card while riding she isn't so much when out of the arena.
Ezzie loves a good groom and will stand good as gold for as long as you need her too. The yard is home to a few cats that wonder around and Esperanza hates them all so many have learnt to just stay away.

Extra: Unfortunately I do not have much to offer as an extra. I have no art, (As I cannot draw - my
art skills are atrocious) and I'm merely too burnt out to do any major writing. So instead as an extra
you can view my beautiful but simplistic, and semi-lazy coding. (I guess you could call coding a form of
art if you'd like) As well as listen to me ramble as I explain what this mare's markings remind me of.

Ramble: Lichtenberg - Those intricate and intriguing marking's you'll often see on the survivors of a lightening-strike. The "Primitive Markings" As you call them seem to loosely resemble the scars. In my own personal opinion I find the Lichtenberg scars very beautiful - however the ordeal people who have them have to go through is very horrible. I would never wish that upon anyone - no matter how beautiful, and interesting the scars can be.
Anyway on top of the markings which remind me of Lichtenberg scars, the bird catcher spots resemble rain drops or pebbles of hail raining down. Painting the image of a dark stormy day, full of lightening streaked sky's and rain/hail pelting the ground. Perhaps with her pelt if it is also happening around dawn, and the clouds of the storm are slowly disbursing allowing rays of soft light to filter through and color the earth a golden hue.
