Extras galore!Favorite Christmas Songs: Christmas Medley - Anthem LightsChristmas Hymns - Anthem LightsChristmas is Here - Anthem LightsPersonality: Minnie is a high-spirited girl, she just loves her favorite time of year. Winter and Christmas, generally a quiet girl she can't help but sing along to Christmas carols and humming horsey versions to herself. Adores the smell of fresh baked cinnamon gingerbread cookies that are made this time of year.
Favorite treat: Cinnamon Gingerbread cookies of course! With a bit of gooey caramel and she'll never stop eating them
Ideal Christmas Morning: Ideally Minnie loves to spend her Christmas mornings decorating her stall with lights and baubles, tinsel and candy canes adorning every doorway. With treats and goodies filling up stockings hung on each stall for every horse. After a treat filled morning a good run through the snow to work off some of the sugary goodness from the morning followed by a warm blanket after she's had her run. Then spending time with her humans and giving anyone kisses when they pass under the mistletoe that she's sneakily hung up on her own.
Cute Story:Minnie snorted as she happily trotted around the indoor arena that everyone was going to share for a special christmas moment with the horses and their people who owned them. She has snuck in some of her favorite decorations, snowflake lights were her human's idea but she added some colorful tinsel and small bits of mistletoe in inconspicious places. She was going to give as many Christmas kisses as she could while she thought to herself 'tis' the season', the first one brought in she waited for more people and horses to show up so she could greet them with excitement. Something about Christmas brought out an extra amount of cheer.
The sound of horses and laughter could be heard, growing louder, Minnie's ears perked up as she turned to watch who was arriving.
A couple of girls who kept their horses, she rarely met them but knew their horses better, Dove and Lucifer were the horses being brought out with them. It was nice that they took a moment to spend with their horses on Christmas Day, Minnie was thinking to herself while she approached them, nickering a welcome to them.
Thirty minutes passed while Minnie's own person finished helping out with something in the barn and re-joining the small group in the arena. Laughing and joking, they were all sharing some bits of christmas snacks that were set out for them, Minnie's whiskers were full of crumbs from the treats she was given by them all. Dove and Lucifer managed to keep themselves cleaner though they enjoyed the treats as much as she did.
An hour passed by with hopeful waiting, so far no one else had shown up and they could only stay in the arena so long before each would have to go back to their separate Christmases with their families. Minnie was becoming a bit sad, she had yet to lead anyone to a secret stash of mistletoe for a friendly horse kiss and she had been dying to get in at least a dozen. It wasn't looking good.
"This party was a great idea but.. a lot of people prefer spending this day with their families. I don't know how much longer I can stay here before I'll miss Christmas dinner with my own family." Minnie's owner, Sarah, said as she gripped her mare's halter. A couple understanding nods, wishes for everyone to have a 'Merry Christmas' and they all decided to head back to the barn, it had grown cold in the arena and the warmth of the barn welcomed everyone.
Someone else was also there, a cute sandy blonde haired boy, who happened to own the shyest horse in the barn, Valentine. Both looked ready to head for the arena. "Oh hey, Mike." Sarah was glad her cheeks were already slightly flushed from the cold, she had a bit of a crush on him, he was pretty cute.
"Merry Christmas, Valentine." Minnie called to Valentine, who happened to be awkwardly shifting his weight back and forth, quiet and a bit embarrassed, he replied with his eyes glancing to her for a moment and then looking to his front hooves. Whisker's still full of eaten treats, snow stuck in her fluffy coat and mane, eyes glowing, the mare quickly pulled away from her owner, knocking her into Mike and firmly planting her horsey lips to Valentine's cheek.
"What?" Valentine's eyes were filled with confusion and more than a small amount of embarrassment, "You're standing right under the mistletoe I put up a week ago. I've been waiting to kiss someone all day." Minnie explained after her couple seconds of pressing her lips to his face.
Valentine's face took a slightly hurt expression. "Oh.. I thought.. oh." Minnie realized she used the wrong words and nuzzle his shoulder gently. "I didn't mean it like it sounded, really. I've wanted to give someone a surprise kiss but I'm glad it was you." Valentine's eyes went from looking down to looking her right in the eyes, green and glowing now too, he replied with a kiss of his own to her muzzle. "You're also standing under the mistletoe as well.."
Mike and Sarah watched their horses with a similar grin on both of their faces. "Hmmm.. well.. At least someone is getting Christmas kisses around here." Mike said matter-of-factly, as he tucked his hands in his pockets for a moment, he looked at Sarah from the corner of his eye before pulling something out of his pocket and halfheartedly hung it over his head. "Any chance for more Mistletoe kisses?" He asked hopefully. Sarah's eyes widened, feeling embarrassed but also impressed at how smooth Mike's execution was, she smirked and kissed him on the cheek. "Merry Christmas, Mike."
"It is now."
