Lykaios (or Lykaio if there's only one) are a cross between a fish, an otter and a wolf. They are slightly larger than a pet cat and have sharp teeth and front claws. Lykaios are omnivores but most of them prefer meat and fish over fruit or veg. They prefer water but are willing to go on land as well. Lykaios LOVE humans or any species that is not their own due to their adventurous nature. A Lykaio can also be somewhat territorial of their belongings. When sleeping in water with a mate or a friend Lykaios will hold hands to prevent drifting away from each other.

This is obviously a very regal Lykaio. Look at their horns shine, the way the sunlight seems to catch on their pelt and flicker gently. This is truly a Lykaio with ties to the sun.

Sol sat quietly ontop of one of the larger boulders by the lakeside, seeming to bask in the sunlight. This seemed to be one of his favored pass times, relaxing ontop of the boulder and watching other lykaio or smaller creatures like insects or fish in the lake. A lot of the time he enjoyed the feeling of the warm sunlight on his pelt and the way it almost seemed to show off his horns, there was no doubt that this lykaio enjoyed the regal aura he sometimes gave off, and sometimes wanted to show it off. But right now? Nah. Sol seemed content just to lay there in the light, enjoying the warmth of it and the sense of serenity it gave him.

Siren looked at the large peoples that blocked his pathway.The cold stream contrasted the cold musty spring air that clung to his coat like sap.He frowned.If the stream wasn't unblocked,there was no way the damon could get through,and if there was no damon,there was no dinner.Siren let out a annoyed growl.Pepple by people.Boulder by boulder.Stick by stick.This is how it usually went.He was so used to taking down the beavers stupid damn that is was almost his job now.

A short story about what they do in their free time: Every day, when the sun is at its peak, about to rise, Mileni or Mili, goes to a rock, high out the water. No lykiaos knows what happens next, but all they know is that in the morning, she goes to the nursery, and gives out these bright yellow glowing orbs to the pups there. Whatever they are, those orbs just fill the children with glee! Everyone calls these orbs "sun orbs" and they not just make the pups happy, they make everyone happy! Lykiaos suspect Mili gets these from "sun gatherings". It's probably true too, since Mili is ALWAYS gone during the time when the sun is rising. But whatever they are, and whatever Mili does, all lykiaos thank them each day.

Century sat on top of a sea-side cliff, watching the sun's rise. There was many things he could to with this new day: go swimming, meet some new lykiaos, sleep, try something new, do some hunting, sit in the sun, watch clouds, or just see where the day took them. He sighed and continued to think as the sun slowly rose higher in the sky. Sleep sounded like the best option but he knew he should probably get something done. He stood up and padded down the rough, stony path that led to the water's edge. He placed one paw in but recoiled quickly with a hiss , the water was freezing! At least it was to him.... He turned tail and began thinking of the many places he could sleep for the rest of the day.
