Human beings are good at forgetting pain

That's why we fall in love time and time again

Finn is not off to a good start, mhm.
I'm considering giving him a memory wipe, but whatever happens, he's going to have to go through a recovery journey. Not all is well for him just yet, poor boy.

Finn wound up in a car accident on a rainy Thursday night, promptly ending his overseas vacation. Although he survived, he ended up with multiple broken bones and was rushed to the hospital in a coma. He woke up with a case of retrograde amnesia, and though officials were able to track down his husband and children, he had absolutely no recollection of them and no idea what to do. During these times, however, he managed to meet Kalari, a friendly energetic college student hospitalized for a broken leg. She grew on him instantly, perhaps out of pity or curiosity, and they became like siblings. Finn, though knowing he had a family, began to prefer spending time with Kalari. He eventually grows comfortable with her and her group of friends, and begins to explore the world on his own with their occasional company.

Finn, though he often goes by Fiontan, took up writing after realizing he had a knack for it. He enjoys museum visits, long walks at the park, rides at fairgrounds, and festivals/carnivals. He finds these to be wonderful inspiration for his writing, and is currently experimenting with his writing style to see what fits him best. He's considering historical fiction, which is ironic considering how he doesn't remember his own history. He goes to the library to read about wars and engineering in the past, being extremely enthusiastic about the whole matter.

Although he's technically homeless, Kalari generously lent him enough money for two months at a small but comfortable inn. He takes on odd jobs while he finds writing inspiration, earning more than enough for his daily needs. He has a jar for all the money he'll use for a home, be it another few weeks at the inn or a permanent home; he hasn't decided yet. He's very much aware that he still has a family out there waiting for him, but he can't bring himself to meet them. Not yet, anyway. He hopes to muster the courage to visit them eventually, but he feels like that moment is still ages away.
