Playing around with anatomy and colors and stuff.
mmm I think it came out ok. Oekaki still hates me. Also I hope it's ok that I post in intermediate ;o;

Love the color pallete, and the intensity of the expression, it really transmits panic very well, love the piece ^^! One small detail: canine/feline ankles don't have the same mobility as ours, so the feet turning so proeminently inward is a bit, well, hard. The left leg is more believable, although the shading is making the toe pads look like they're pointing towards the face. The screen I'm currently using is really dark though, so it's not really helping, but it gives me the idea that simply doing away with the paw pads on the left foot would be enough to correct it. The right one is little more awkward since it isn't spread enough to the side to allow such a pose. Would require a bit more work to correct, but in essence pointing all claws to the right, overlaying the outer toe on top of the third one a bit more and adding the paw pads would make for a convincing side view with not much effort xD. Again, the screen isn't helping much, so there may actually be lines there making it all perfect that I just can't see >.<... plus it can also be a species with a more plastic build than, you know, real animals so all of above might be moot point anyway xD.

Regardless! Awesome piece! Underwater scenes are hard as hell to color and you made it all allive and active! And the character's design itself is really interesting too. Well done ^^!

thank you! He is one of my favorite characters and was really fun to draw!
It was my first attempt at drawing such a pose, so it was difficult to get everything to look alright- i guess I should have looked over some references haha

The legs were a bit weird for be because he typically stands on his hind legs, giving him a more raptor/kangaroo like anatomy, other than the canine head and paws (save for the opposable thumbs)
