Skype ran up the stairs after a breakfast of Techno Cereal Flakes and milk. Anxiety was a hard lump in her stomach.
It was picture day, and Skype had COMPLETELY forgotten about dressing up.
She skidded into the bathroom, hastily brushed her canines, and dug out her makeup kit.
"I can't go to school like this!" she muttered to herself as she pulled out some assorted colors and a brush.
Ten minutes later, she looked up into the mirror at her finished result.
It wasn't too bad! Skype inspected the blend of colors around her eyes.
She'd done the first thing that came to her mind- a sunset blend over her eyes with orange and magenta, then topped it off with an indigo stripe in certain spots.
She glanced at the clock.
7:30!
Skype swung on a moon necklace and raced down the stairs, grabbing her backpack and lunch along the way. Just as she reached the corner outside her house, the school bus came roaring around into view.
Relieved she hadn't missed the bus, Skype let out a breath. She took out a small mirror from her bag and frowned.
"I guess I don't look so good with solid makeup and jewlery, but at least it's not as bad as that outfit I wore last year!" She whispered to herself.
She smiled as the bus made its way to school.
