Gypsy much prefers to lick and nibble on a small, sweet tasting Apple block that's half hidden away in a the back of her shared paddock; she's always the first to get at it when turned loose, and she hovers nearby for as long as she can until thirst or work beckons. Apples, also being her favorite treat after some good work or special attention, flavor the mineral block in all the right ways for her tastebuds.

Favorite mineral block and why: Paraw likes minty mineral blocks best, including eucalyptus and peppermint. They remind her of the time she grew up in her mother's belly. The mare had had a lot of gastric and enteric cramps during pregnancy, and peppermint is known to help with this. So the mare was constantly licking at such a mineral block, trying to ease her pain. So Paraw grew up eating minty things already in her mother's womb, and grew to love them.
Now Paraw is fully grown and needs her daily dose of equcalyptus, peppermint and co before she and her humans start their rescue work in the cold polar region.

Favorite mineral block and why: Maybach's always loved plain old salt licks. She never knew why, she just did. They were so good. A salt lick the size of a brick usually lasted her about a month and a half. Most horses didn't finish theirs in six months. (I did this because i have a thing for salt, and there is a horse at my barn who loves salt. I am serious.)

Favorite mineral block and why: (I am not entirely sure if a "Likit" is considered a mineral block, so let me know if you know it isn't so I can change my entry ^-^)
Melete's absolute favorite mineral block is the Boredom Buster created by the company Likit, and her favorite flavor of Likit is Banana. Although to be fair, she loves all the Likit flavors, except carrot. She really doesn't like carrots. If you attempt to feed her a carrot, she'll just spit it back out to you. So you see Melete gets bored easily in her stall and it makes her antsy. Jolly Balls don't seem to work because after awhile, she'll get bored of playing with them. But seeing as she's a glutton for food, Boredom Busters seem to do the trick. It keeps her entertained for hours because of the Likit that is inside of the toy. Or at least it keeps her entertain until she has finished the likit.
