Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

Nobody in the shelter knew where this dog came from, nobody knows what it is. The dog was found wandering around the back of the shelter, digging through trash and whatnot. We did manage to get them in with us, but they did put up a huge fight. Don't underestimate this dog because they're tiny, they will and have absolutely no problem with nipping your fingers and ankles. They're a feisty dog. Though, after being around humans, people in the shelter, their aggression has really dropped down a notch. They put up some pretty good tugs of war ! We did find them with a collar but the shelter can't find any chips, tags, nothing with a lead to the owner. The dog is finally ready to get a new home, and new collar, if you prefer.

Blue is a feisty young dog. She loves running around the house and chasing feet! This little brown puffball can often be found in the backyard, sleeping in the family's tireswing. Aww! She adores meeting new people and swiping socks when her owners aren't looking.

Amour's spirits could never be broken. Nights when she felt tired or sore, she wouldn't give up.
Even when she was rummaging through the clumps trash without a place to call home, she never lost hope.
Still, after loosing her first family, meeting new people was tough. She didn't want to believe she needed a new home.
However, after settling in with her new family, she gave her loyalty to them full-heartedly.
Personality; Spunky, persistent, feisty, and loyal.
Fun facts;
- Amour can respond to commands (ex; sit, paw) if given in French.
- She likes to startle her owners when they come home with her loud bark. She thinks it's a fun game.
