What you would do to gain their trust: To gain Shadow's trust, I'd sleep next to his stall for a week or two until he got used to my scent. Then I'd offer him treats if he's willing to come closer to me, giving them to him after a little less distance each time until he's comfortable standing with me and taking them from my hand. After he's okay to stand with me, I'd give him treats while stroking his neck, or scratching his withers, and eventually currying his curly baby coat to help him shed his foal hair, because it's probably very itchy, and something his dam probably would have done if he hadn't been separated from her.

What you would do to gain his trust: To earn this stunning colt's trust, I'd first associate my company with only good things, such as gentle face rubs and sweet apple slices. After he began to become more comfortable in my presence, I'd begin entering his stall with him, which he'd likely share with Askja Stable's friendliest Bashmoor mare, Malia. Brushing is shown to improve levels of trust in horses, so I would begin combing his dark coat multiple times a day, all the while rubbing him and feeding him treats he's shown to favour. When he becomes old enough that he's weaned entirely off of milk, I'd begin taking him out for short walks around the grounds, whilst keeping him away from the louder and more dangerous ones. Once he becomes comfortable with that, we'll have the other stablehands begin to do so too, thus making him comfortable not only around me, but the stable's help as well.

Since Eilie has yet to acquire a Bashmoor Curly she will be using the fluffy Wesrossa mustang as the ambassador. The foal would be able to cuddle into the warmth of Esmral's side and meet the resident cow Bahookie. The two new herd mates would help him feel safe and capable of exploring around his new home. Plus their confidence around people would rub off on him allowing the little fellow to learn trust with the human woman, Eilie. She would ensure that he would be around people all the time to grow up with constant love and affection. Long sessions of brushing and naps in the quiet fields.
