Recently animal control rescued 28 pitbulls from a house with no food or water. 11 had already died, and many of the others were too weak to walk. The dogs were taken to the shelter where I volunteer, so this is a vent because those dogs are basically skeletons. They're all extremely friendly still, even though they were left in a desert heat wave with no air condition or water for over a week and may have never even been out of that house.

Thanks, I didn't see that anyone had replied to this till now. The dogs are recovering pretty well, they need to be rehabilitated and treated for a bunch of things but I think the dogs who were rescued are all going to make it.
Here's a pupper pic in case any of you got bummed out. Her name is JJ and she will never ever be abused in any way.


We get a lot of puppies in shelters, more than most people think, so if you ever feel like it's time to adopt a pupper check a shelter. Right now the youngest pups we have are two weeks old, no shortage of unwanted puppies in the world.

Way too much of the same is happening in the World right now. It's so nice that you are helping those dogs! All species should deserve just as good treatment. When will humans stop being racists?

I can't get over how cruel some people are and how good your art is. If I could I would adopt a Pitt, but it's almost impossible in Australia now and plus my family would never let me. My uncle had a Pitt bull that I wrote about in my siggy. In a sum up of the story Mako (my uncles dog) would try to tare off the head of any animal that came near him and he had to be tied to a tire. But with time and patience he got better and was a wonderful dog. Ranting on here.

It's wonderful what your doing and I hope every one of the dogs at the shelter will never experience a bad thing again.

I forgot where but somewhere someone had like, a thousand-two thousand or so animals caged and starved in their backyard and 400+ were dead. Its really sad people do this to animals, it really is.
