Writing prompt #1 (Blue are voices):
This was a life changing experience that Amir encountered when he was very little.
Amir was young, about 7 human years. He was running around with his three friends in the front yard of his small, yet cozy den in the middle of the woods. He had a wonderful caring mother, and a hardworking, strict father. Amir never had a connection with his father like his friends thought he did. His father was a strong, and very working. He never spent time with Amir, and didn't care to much about him. When Amir was smaller, just a tiny baby Viscet, all he ever wanted was his dad to say he loved him. Unfortunately, his father didn't care enough for him to say those words.
The clouds floated high in the sky as Amir played tag with his friends. "Hey! Wait up!" Amir yelled playfully. "I-I can't keep up" Amir bent over, trying to catch his breath. His friends glanced behind them and turned around, swishing their tails with the wind. They waited for him to catch his breathe, then darted off away from him again. They spent a long time running around in the flat, big patch of grass in the middle of the forest they called their territory.
Meanwhile, Amir's mother was laying down at the edge of the den, keeping an eye on each Viscet, protecting them from any danger that may come. Amir's father was inside the den, sleeping. Amir's mother and father had never had a healthy relationship, and were constantly fighting. Speaking of, they just got done with fighting a few minutes ago, which lead to Amir's father sleeping in the den. Amir didn't think too much about the fighting, although it did bother him at times.
"Gotcha!" Amir lunged at one of his running friends. "Hahah! I told you I would catch ya!" he chuckled. "TAG!" One of his friends poked him in the gut, then ran off. "Hey! That's unfair!" Amir yelled as they ran off. He sighed, looking at the ground. Then after a few moments, he picked his head up, and ran after his friend. This continued for quite a while, before it started to get dark. As the sun set over the horizon, Amir's mother decided it was time for her son to come inside. "Amir! Come on hon, it's time to come inside." She called, standing up from her laying position. Amir said his goodbyes to hid friends, and made an agreement to play the next day at around the same time. He swished his tail and focused his green eyes on his mother as he walked inside his den. He sniffed the air and smelled pig. His eyes lit up as he saw his father sitting down waiting for them. "Yummmmy!" Amir's mouth dropped and formed a smile as he raced over to the dinning area inside his den. The small area where they ate their food was small, and empty, there was just a smooth dirt patch which they laid the food when it was time to eat.
Immediately, Amir sat down and ate the pig. He didn't even notice his mother glare at her mate as they entered the room. "Did they have fun?" Amir's father spoke, his eyes fixed on Amir's mother, clearly trying to make things up with his mate. "Oh it was wonderful!" Amir answered for his mother, which was an obvious mistake. His father slowly turned his head towards his son, glaring down, staring right into his soul. It felt like an arrow piercing through him. Amir's ears dropped and his mouth slightly quivered. But his father said nothing, instead he just turned his head away, and focused on eating dinner.
After a long silent meal between the three, Amir's mother finally spoke. "Everyone finished?" His mother looked around with a grumpy frown on her face. "Good. Now off to bed Amir, your father and I have much to discuss." Amir took a quick glance at his father, who acted like his mate didn't say a thing. A few moments later, he found himself in bed (Which is a pile of leaves). Amir stared at the roof of his room, listening to his parents yelling and screaming at each other. At that moment, it hit him. This wasn't a game anymore.
The next day Amir was playing around with his friends, and is mother was a little ways further from the den, eating some berries. Once again, Amir's father was in the den again. Amir took a break and caught his breathe. He looked up to see his mother, sorrow in her eyes. "H-Honey. I have to tell you something. You're father and I aren't mates anymore." The words struck Amir like a lighting bolt. How could this happen? "N-No!" He yelled.
