I sigh looking though bars of my kennel. all the other pets are excited. the pound is gonna open soon. they know they are going to get adopted. all the rare butterfly wolves, all the handsome well groomed list pets. all the hope filled uncommons. but not excited. im very common. and most people who see me know it. so I stay and I wait. the clock on the wall counts down until the pound opens. 5 seconds. excited howls echo around the building. 2 seconds..... suddenly the pound doors swing open and a crowd of people flood in. fighting over the old uncommon dogs and petting the cats. pretty soon the pound is almost empty. its only me and a few rats. most of the people have left. suddenly I hear footsteps in front of me and i see the kennel door swing open....
