soleil fell in love with this anime a long time ago. the reason why is because she loved the characters, and the main character's "job." the main character was forcefully chosen to be a god of a shrine, and this shrine's god had left ages ago. the main character was bestowed this "blessing" after being kicked out due to her father leaving everything that involved the house, aka, debts and all, and since she couldn't pay the debt, she was kicked out and lived on a bench. after saving the god, she was given the shrine, and assumed it was her "new home." when she went there, she was greeted by an extremely angry familiar, and two shrine sprites {from my memory,} and so on, you've gotta watch the anime.

what she was interested in was that the main character didn't decide to leave the shrine, and took up all the jobs she had to do, and didn't even give up, despite the familiar telling her to. she found this interesting, since soleil was a social "wreck" herself, and slowly began to use the main character's DETERMINATION as an aspect in life to look up to, so she keeps trying to improve, and still rewatches the anime for support.

simply because the short film's story is beautiful,
and the sadness just brings out the amazing storyline
that was described in just a mere forty-five minutes.
it allows for the watcher to really connect to the main
characters, and is ultimately an amazing tearjerker that
hotaru would suggest to anyone.
