Despite the rather unpleasant image his name gives, Night Fury, or Fury for short, is actually a rather well mannered horse. He has an extremely high intellect, which tends to get him into trouble; breaking out of pastures or his stall, however this same intellect has also made him a very quick learner. He is usually the first horse to master a new trick. While Fury is very intelligent and curious, always intrigued by the new and unknown, he is slow to trust, making his pool of riders very slim.
