What is an Opalica?
An Opalica is a semi aquatic species found along the shorelines and water regions of tropical areas, except for Africa.
Opalicas are relatively new in findings, and have only recently begun documentation, only few have ever been brought in for scientific evidence.
They appear to be semi aquatic reptilian (such as water serpents and crocodiles), hippos, and an unidentifiable species of land mammal in the canine lineage.
Each Opalica possesses 1-2 embedded stone/s somewhere on their body that's purpose is unknown, however, they look like opals, but are made with a new element called Voparous [v-oh-parr-us] that genetically possesses different colors based on the heritage of the Opalica.
Opalicas are harmless for the most part, and don't mind other beings meander around them, however, no one should ever under estimate a wild animal. A cluster of Opalica can range between six to eight adults alone, and can become very protective and defensive in situations where they feel threatened.
Opalicas have a stature of no taller than the average Great Dane, there's no height range based on gender as to which gender is larger than the other.
their legs are canine in build, and have excellent webbing structure when their feet are splayed in water, their fur extends their entire legs and up their stomachs to about mid side, it has a bend to it despite how light and soft it can be, it suctions to them and leaves air pockets underneath to help keep them dry if they dive into the water.
They have relatively thick skin, and scales normally start at the crown of their head, travel down to cover their neck, create a dorsal effect along their spine, and complete with a fully scaled snake-like tail.
their eyes resemble elongated curving tear drops, and are very good for seeing out of, however, they have bad night vision and rely on series of grunts and stomping when on land and low frequency blurb sounds when in the water to communicate.
Opalica are omnivorous and have a set of four sharp teeth, two on each side of their upper jaw about midway in. Their eyes normally match the color of their Opal/s.

1-2 resemble other precious stones not opals (only one type of stone aside from opals)
minor line edits
line extras (any extra hair added, not a lot just more than head)
Very Rare:
major line edits
major line extras
