Hazard Cats are long legged felines with quite a few robotic qualities.
Their tails are about the length of their body, split into two pieces,
and connected by some form of energy. The glass screens on their
chest are most commonly known to show a heartbeat, but many other
glowing images can appear there. These images mirror the cat’s
health in one way or another. Some cats have static on their screens,
but beware, those cats are as dangerous as they are rare! The picture
on the screen will always match the color of the cat’s eyes, which
typically have hollowed pupils. Hazards have three eyes, but the center
one is almost always covered with a band-aid or something similar.
This is because of the often dangerous powers that are channeled
through the third eye. Grates on the cats’ sides aid in breathing and
can also emit a steam, sound and mist, as well as a strange goo.
Their large ears allow them to hear potential prey miles away and make
them skilled trackers, but they are easily overwhelmed by too much
noise. Thanks to their strong legs, Hazard cats can reach speeds up to
fifty miles per hour and leap near ten feet up.
Idk if you guys even like these, but they're fun to draw so ha

Name: Trout
Gender: MalePersonality:
- Dependent -
Trout, being very different from both regular dogs and Hazard Cats, finds it hard to fit in most of the time. He's very dependent on others, usually causing them to feel exasperated. He's clingy and will follow anyone he feels like is safe enough to tag along with. When he's on his own, he finds it a bit difficult to adapt, and usually tries his best to go with the flow and appear as calm as possible. His thoughts usually end up all over the place, leaving him in a bit of a mess most of the time. It takes a bit of effort to snap him back to reality after this occurs. Welcome to the present day, they tell him as they try to get him reoriented.- Nervous -
His nervous behavior is usually accompanied by a tendency to yelp loudly, or as his friends say, 'bork.' He doesn't like being startled of course, and since he's gone through being the victim of an array of pranks, he's learned to at least steel his nerves when it comes to sudden movement and loud noises. He has an affinity for fireworks, one of the few things he's no longer bothered by at all. Sometimes, he will still bark loudly when he feels threatened, especially in large groups, though. Simply being outnumbered by strangers makes his heart beat quickly, and after barking loudly, the attention he gets afterwards just exacerbates the situation for poor Trout. He despises the awkward silence that tends to ensue. Because of this, he occasionally wears a type of muzzle to avoid this from happening, but it makes it difficult to communicate when he has to.- Flight over Fight -
In most situations, Trout has a strong flight mechanic. He's very fidgety and can't stay in the same place for too long. He has a habit of drumming his paws on the floor, sometimes going back and forth when he's waiting for others or simply not knowing where to go. He can memorize a lot of songs, and has a tendency to start humming (or your dog equivalent of humming, give or take) when he's impatient, incorporating it into his paw-thumping. Whenever someone turns their head to pay attention to this habit though, Trout clams up and is immediately silent, blushing. His entire face turns tomato red whenever he gets a compliment on his rhythm. He likes to wonder if he can sing.- Focused -
Despite his skittish behavior, when Trout has his mind on something it's very difficult to shake him off whatever it is. Even if he's simply staring at a tree or car. His focus can be gained by clapping or waving a hand in front of him, but he will dismiss you most of the time. He has a tendency to focus on random moving items (cars, bikes, birds) or mechanics. His own tail can get his attention, causing him to chase it for frustrating periods of time. His attentional inertia can be a problem, especially when he has his eyes on something that moves quickly, like insects. Sometimes it does do him good, though, such as when Trout is helping out with his owner's chores. He likes chasing plastic bags.Relationships
Maximoff | Owner
Max takes care of Trout, and it's honestly a funny story how he came to adopt the pupper. He simply found him on his doorstep, later finding out that it was supposed to be a prank set up by Glitchy. It was't a well-cooked plan though, as Max's heart melted and he instantly took Trout in, claiming him as his own. He tried giving Trout a collar, but he didn't seem to like the feeling of one around his neck, so Max gave up and let Trout go without one. The dog seemed to know his owner and the way home well enough. However, Max doesn't always have the time needed to watch Trout, and he didn't want to leave him alone for hours a day, so he started leaving Trout in Glitchy's care, something he never imagined he would have to do. Max resents Glitchy with every fiber in his body, but his dog needed care. Trout doesn't mind this at all, and enjoys the company. When Trout is with Max, he's very affectionate, and displays all sorts of amusing antics, though he's still a well-trained dog.Salmon | Best Friend
Salmon is the only other 'Hazard Dog' Trout knows of - and one of his first friends after being turned into the mechanical cyborg-dog he is. They spend a lot of time together, Salmon being one of the few individuals Trout would trust without hesitation. While their owners, Max and Glitchy, despise each other, Trout and Salmon are so close that it gets frustrating for both owners. Max has to admit that he doesn't have all the time in the world for his dog, and has reluctantly left Trout under Glitchy's care multiple times. Trout is happy to help around, though, and enjoys being dropped off at Glitchy's workshop, fully unaware of how much Max regrets having to do it. Trout's tendency to concentrate on mechanics was pretty much born here, as he can watch someone turn a wrench or fix an oil leak for hours on end, tail wagging. Sometimes, he gnaws on various tools and objects, to Glitchy's frustration (though he really can't blame Trout for it). His favorite item is a crowbar. At the end of the day, Trout usually plays tackle with Salmon before leaving with Max. He always looks forward to the next time he visits her.────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
In anthro, Trout is rather tall compared to both dogs and Hazard Cats, being a whole foot taller than anthro Salmon. He's got a lean build with some muscle, though he's far from what you'd call buff. He has a habit of standing on tiptoe, making him look even taller than he already is. He's flexible, able to touch his toes to his nose with little effort. Accessories wise, Trout dislikes coming off as flashy, and usually wears simple and casual clothing like jackets, shirts and shorts. He does have one ring on his left hand's finger, a dull gray one with the date November 9th 1999 on it - his birthday. At times, Trout will wear a watch on his left wrist, a brown-black leather watch he purposefully set ten minutes early to motivate himself and lessen his chances of being late.
Trout works as a barista, trying to get enough money to sustain himself - his apartment room, his education, and to a lesser extent, his hobbies. He thoroughly enjoys this job, as it's easy to take care of once he's mastered the ropes. He has made mistakes on the job in the past, such as spilling drinks or serving the wrong trays, which have left him feeling inferior. Having been through it makes it easier for him to get by without error, though. It helps him get past his nervousness, and it feels good for him to hear his own voice at the café without hearing himself stutter. He has made a couple of friends through his job, mostly daily customers. Salmon is one of these customers, although Trout also knows her through Glitchy, her being someone who often crashes on Glitchy's couch while Trout would visit him regarding his side interest in mechanics.
