if you looked closer, more carefully, a warm tiredness could be detected, starting in a tender sigh, blossoming into a serene flower of exquisite pain.
he took a breath.
"dear diary," the plume started, hardly breathing the words out as he dipped a soft feather pen into a jet-black jar of ink.
"- today, i found out someone is following me. my apologies if i adumbrate,* but i must hurry. my health is deteriorating quickly. 'True is it that we have seen better days.' pausing to take a gulp of air, the good natured plume almost choked out a despaired yawn, but managed to restrain himself. almost there. he softly touched the pen to the paper once again.
"i cannot stay much longer. i have decided to name this creature Degringoladé.*** i can't really do it justice though. 'What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.' (romeo and juilet, shakespeare II.ii.???) now, i must dalliance no longer. i have a ghost awaiting me."
without another beat of a heart, octo blew out the candle, leaving our readers in the dark, only to dream of his future adventures.

It was half past nine. the trees waved their branches in the soft breeze, and the crickets chirped. Guinna sat on a bench in the park, marveling at the night sky full of stars. the moon was just barely a sliver of light, and to Guinna, the sight was just breathtaking. The grass crunched beside her, and guinna turned around to look.

Another plumerian, just like her, huffed and stood next to the bench. "Mind if I take a seat?" he asked quietly.

Guinna nodded and moved over on the bench, giving him enough space to sit down. The plumerian sat down quickly and looked around wildly before turning to talk to her.

"Isn't it strange?" he whispered. "How the people you love the most just leave you in times of need?"

Guinna glanced at the plumerian, who wore a look of sadness and confusion. She silently nodded and looked back up at the sky. "Yeah, she left me once. Well, what I mean by that is...she never came back."

A long silence passed between the two before the plumerian said, "She left me as well. I was lost and alone, and she decided it was the best time to leave me. She didn't help me, she only just took one glance and walked away. I never saw her again."

Guinna paused before saying, "Is it true that if you wish upon a star your wish will come true?"

The plumerian nodded and said, "It's what I believe to be true."

"If I could wish for something right now, it is that she would be with me at this moment."

The plumerian turned to look at her closely, and nodded. "Me too."
