Roamer Kennels is home to two distinct breeds of canines, the Southsward Shepherd and the Holt Hound. Though temperamentally different, the two breeds look strikingly similar.
Southsward Shepherds
A mix between working dogs and wolves, they can either be a working dog or a companion, depending on their temperament. Southsward shepherd are classified as on of the three temperaments: T1, T2, and T3.
-A T1 shepherd has a strong desire to work and are easy to train. They don't make good companion dogs, as they often become hyperactive and destructive if they have nothing to do.
-A T2 shepherd is very docile and friendly, making them a great companion. Depending on the T2's personality, they can either be a couch potato or a high energy dog.
-A T3 is a mix between the two temperaments. They have a desire to work, though not a strong as a T1, and are also friendly and love being around people. T3s are usually showdogs that spend time training and as a companion.
Holt Hounds
Native to deep forests and extreme climates, Holt Hounds are hardy dogs that can adapt to nearly any environment. In the wild, Holt Hounds live in packs ranging from as little as five members to as much as fifty. However, Holt Hounds only get along with other hounds with the same temperament.
-Those with the Delphi temperament are extremely intelligent and calm. They usually only bond with on person during their lifetime, making them seem distant and aloof to other people.
-The most common temperament, the Apollo is very athletic and playful. They are known as 'forever puppies', and make great companions for those with active lifestyles or with children.
