-dmons come in all shapes, sizes and species. they each wield different powers and abilities.
-dmons have two forms: their overworld form and nether form.
-their overworld form is used when they're dealing with business on earth. these forms tend to be more easy on the eyes to mortals.
-their nether form wields more power than their overworld one. it's more volatile and unpredictable, however, and more unsightly.
haunts common
-their job is to haunt people and bring them misery.
-literal personification of a person's inner demons.
-each serves under a sector of one of the seven sins.
-they are bound to a mortal until the day they die, though some over time muster up the strength to get rid of their haunts.
-when their assigned mortal dies or kicks them out, they latch on to another.
shades common
-lost souls that still wander the overworld.
-have a tendency to haunt their loved ones.
-souls that have died an unjust/violent death or still have a strong sense of purpose instilled in them tend to become shades.
banshees common
-screams represent somebody's death.
-sing ballads about the said person's entire life to make sure they're not forgotten.
-quite fond of music, most of them have their own theme song they like to listen to.
harbinger common
-messengers between the overworld and the underworld.
-often ordered around and sent on errands by higher ranking officials.
-keep track of and organise documents of the deceased in the archive, as well as profiles with information on each dmon.
-occasionally accompany reapers while they're doing their job to ensure things go smoothly and to update their files.
seekers uncommon
-scout for those interested in joining the dmon den.
-usually have a small companion to accompany them in their travels.

-tend to wield scythes and adorn themselves with other fancy accessories.
wardens uncommon
-in charge of torturing and supervising the rogue souls in the punishment grounds.
-very determined to enforce the rules.

-it their job to capture any supernatural beings or souls that are on the loose and causing mayhem in the overworld.
-paid generous sums for their work.
scapegoats uncommon
-the opposite of haunts, scapegoats bear the burden of other people's sins instead of bringing them more misery.
-they don't necessarily have to be literal goats.
keepers rare
-they guard the underworld to ensure that no souls escape into the overworld (they have enough shades running wild as it is).
-cerberus is the most popular species chosen for the job.
-often wear armor of some kind.
ghouls rare
-hang around graveyards and other places associated with death.
-watch over the bodies.
-report the living who desecrate or disrespect dead bodies.
judges rare
-judges a soul's worth and measures their sins.
-sorts them to the afterlife they deserve.
-they either come in pairs or have multiple heads.
-markings tend to be divided in half.
phantasms rare
-beings spawned from nightmares.
-enjoy causing havoc all over the place.
-they instil fear in everyone around them.
