The Little Match Girl

The little match girl stood out in the snow, trying to sell her wares to the many people passing by. Nobody wanted to buy any matches. As night fell and it got colder, she girl tried to light the matches to warm herself up, but the matches quickly went out. The next morning, the passerby found the little girl dead on the ground, where she had frozen to death overnight.

Yay, fun little fairy tale about little girls dying horribly!

dont forget the lit matches gave the little girl visions of splendor that she had never gotten to experiance. with that she lit single matches repeatedly but the last time she lit them all and saw a vision of a mother or grandmother (depending on version) who loved her and took her to the place of splendor and love.

I know, I was doing a lot of simplifying the story.

Also it's more fun to have her just die. Happy endings are boring.

This is a great rendition, I think. I love how the dress up itself has the overall mood of the story. You could actually see the rest of the tale unfold after this scene. Which is also something I really like about this dress-up. The story could not happen, I think?

Yeah, I considered using it, but I thought it would be more interesting to use a pet that wasn't already supposed to be the little match girl. More original that way.
