Why the bag?:
Charlie loves snail mail! He finds others who enjoy snail mail as much as he does so that he has someone to write to. He keeps all of his received letters in his bag (all that he can fit, at least) to read over and over. He likes to keep a spare writing set in his bag. This writing set includes some paper, a few pencils, a pen or two, some stamps, envelopes, and stickers. He keeps any letters that he still has to mail out in his bag, as well. He also delivers letters for others, so their letters end up taking space in his bag. He likes to see the smile on the face's of his customers when they realize one of their friends has sent them a letter. With all of this stuff, his bag is certainly not the tidiest.
How the bag was obtained:
Charlie has a very strong relationship with his mother. His mother knows of his love for letters and writing, so she made him his own bag to carry this stuff. His mother is very handy in crafts. Charlie has had the bag for a year or two and does not like to leave without it.

Personality
Charlie is a cheerful Hindoge. He likes seeing others in a good mood and tries his best to get others smiling. He is good-natured and rarely has bad thoughts about anyone. He does not see the point in having hatred, as he thinks it is a useless and very negative emotion. Charlie is friendly and loves to meet new people and Hindoges. He has no qualms about approaching a stranger and talking to them. Charlie is selfless and likes to give to others around him. He believes that being selfless is definitely worth it if he can make someone happy. Charlie is very soft and sentimental. He cares a lot about family heirlooms and things like that. In fact, he still has his grandmother's favourite scarf even though the moths have claimed most of it. Charlie doesn't do well under pressure and prefers to have fun rather than work. He is quite gullible and naive. Charlie has a huge sweet tooth and can go a little bit mad without his sugar. He is fairly squeamish and can't stand the sight of gore, blood, or bugs. He is very superstitious and has been since he was little. He claims to have seen a ghost at least three times in his life.

Pet Peeve:
Charlie's biggest pet peeve would have to be seeing others dismiss someone's work. For example, if someone excitedly shows their friend or family member a piece of artwork it would be expected that the person being shown the work gets excited and praises the artist. The artist is obviously looking for a good reaction from the person they are showing their work to. Seeing them glance over the art, and saying "yes, dear, that's nice" in a deadpan tone is Charlie's biggest pet peeve. He thinks that artists of all kinds should be praised and encouraged upon sharing their work to keep their spirits alive so they will continue doing what they love.
Fears:
Charlie has a giant fear of the supernatural. His mother was a very superstitious Hindoge and her superstitions were instilled in Charlie. Every night before he falls asleep Charlie finds himself staring into the darkness, worrying about what might pop out at him. For this reason he cannot watch horror movies, read ghost stories, or hear about ghost/supernatural experiences. A much smaller fear of his is the fear that a bird might poop on his head. He's seen it happen many times and he worries about the day that it will happen to him. This fear has led him to dislike birds and to cower whenever they fly overhead.
