Backstory: How separation can open new doors...(Adoption and Separation mini-story)
Bellinois whimpered, craning her neck to see around the person that held her close. "Mummmy?" she cried,"Daddy?" Bellinois wriggled and writhed in an attempt to escape the grasp keeping her from her family. "Shush now...," the human lulled, re-asserting their hold. Bellinois knew she would never see them again, it had happened to Toby just yesterday-taken and never returned. Her mourning and sadistic calls were useless now. She could no longer see nor hear any of her family. "Bye-Bye....," she muttered pitifully, cowering in the human's arms. The human stopped at their car and fumbled for the keys, balancing Bellinois in one arm and wrestling through its pocket with the other. It managed to get the car open and laid Bellinois in the passenger seat. The door closed, and the car roared to life. The human looked down at Bellinois, who was pouting by resting her head on her paws and glancing up with her "puppy-eyes". "You are going to be a whole bundle of trouble, aren't ya?" the human said, hoping to get a reaction out of the puppy. Bellinois blinked, staring up at the human with her soft brown eyes. "Oh, alright... Get over here," the human motioned, patting their lap. 'Really?" Bellinois brushed her tail over the car seat. She slowly crawled over to the human and laid down on its lap. The human smiled and scratched the little pup, making Bellinois thump her tail. "It's always the quiet ones...," they laughed, beginning the long car ride home in the sprinkling rain.
Favorites:
Bellinois always loved a spoonful of peanut butter, a nap in your lap, scratches behind the ears, and the fresh Canadian air. She thinks she's friends with the sheep, but the sheep would say otherwise xD She adores roaming the wooded portion of the property with her person, and collecting a few leaves to play with along the way. (Let's just say it's also a good thing her vaccinations are up-to-date too when they go on those walks. Ya' never know what she'll stick her nose into!)
Fears:
~Separation anxiety is Bellinois biggest problem. It was worst when she was a puppy, but its progressively getting better. You couldn't go anywhere she wasn't able to see you without her freaking out. She's over that now, but trips that span over two days are not something you should take.
~Loud noises is another thing Bellinois has issues with. It was okay to handle when she was little, but nowadays she attacks (should I mention UTTERLY DESTROYS too?) it if it won't stop. Let's just say, vacuuming is a rare activity...
Extra: Saving The Sheep (Or At Least Mildly Disturbing Them...): An Adventure Of Bellinois The Dog-Age 1
I was out exploring with my red maple leaf, or as I like to call him-Bed, when Toothbrush the sheep started barking (Sheeps have odd barks, ohh do they everrrrrr...). I left Bed by the tree (tree 9,862... or was it 22..... ahh it doesn't matter!) and romped over happily to inspectigate the problem. "Hellooooo Toothbrush!" I barked, spooking the snacking ewe."BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Toothbrush called back to me. I wiggled between the rungs in the fence. "What's the matter?????? Is there a cat!! Do I need to chase a squirrel??? OOO, what about coyotes??Wait, are they even Canadian native???" I wagged my tail, bouncing from side to side excitedly. Toothbrush scampered around clumsily before she seemed to get footing and bolted in the other direction. "OOOOOO, so you wanna play chase. I guess I'm the coyote this time! Ready-or-not! Here I come!!!" I ran after Toothbrush, barking and yowling with elated energy. "Move outta the way, Bagel!" I called. I tried to come to a stop, but Bagel kept moving until he was in my path. He looked at me in terror as I, klutzy as ever, barreled into his floofy body. The two of us toppled over and ran into the fence post with a smack. I stood up, dazed, and shook myself off. Bagel jolted up and went running for his life. Poor ram, guess he wasn't expecting it either... I blinked my eyes a couple of times before trying to find Toothbrush again. By then, all the sheep were restless and wanting to play! I was quaking with excitement! "Gwuffffffff!" I teased. I ran after Paper and a few other ewes. They were barking in horror (which was a great addition to our game!). I spent a decent amount of time playing chase with the sheep before my human came out and decided to join the game! "Bellinois!" my human groaned. They hopped over the fence and began to sprint across the pen to me. "oooOOOooooOOo boy!" I sunk down and thumped my tail against the ground. They had almost reached me when i sprung up and ran right between their legs! "You 'lil stinker...," my human said. They continued to chase me, and OH was it the best game of chase EVER!!! Eventually I got thirsty so I let my human catch me. It was sad to end one of the best days ever by getting stuck inside. Oh well.... Guess there's always tomorrow!!!
((Everything was written like it was to show a bit of Bellinois's personality.(((She tends to name things after items she's heard her human name.))) Mini-Story written by me.))
Annnddd two-hours later, I'm finally done. Oh joy!
