Pup/Parent: no. 3
Name: Toby
Gender: Male
Personality: Toby is quite lazy, except when theres food involved, if there is food anywhere near he turns into an Olympic sprinter. However much he loves food, he loves people more, if he is let off the lead when outside he will run around and say hello to everybody, he will of course, come back, but he loves to see everybody, he is very very friendly and extremely exciteable. Toby has a habit of sometimes doing odd things at the weirdest times, like waking up in the middle of the night to scratch his paw on the carpet.
Stray or Owned?: Owned
Job?: Is sleeping, eating and loving a job? no? oh... well sometimes I chase the rats in the garden with Perry, that's kind of a job...
Home: A small village community in Scotland, surrounded by rolling hills, fields and forests. The house in which he lives has no dogs so far, but has one cat (Perry) who was rescued from a river.
Backstory:
How did they get separated from their parents?
Toby got separated from his parents when a hunter in the woods shot a gun and scared him, he was told to hide by his parents and ran, he promptly got lost and didn't know where he was.

Extra:Story:
Toby sighed in content, the smell of his mother surrounded him and the sounds of his siblings playing relaxed him as he drifted in between consciousness and unconsciousness. The sharp crack of a gunshot sliced the air, Toby lifted his head and clumsily leapt to his paws. He watched as his father picked up one of his siblings, the others followed and disappeared into a bush a few moments before a dark shadow loomed up above him and his mother. In a rush he could feel the scruff of his neck tighten around his throat as his mother picked him up and bolted. Leaves and bark flashed past in a blur as she ran, he could hear the hunter's heavy clopping paws following, but the sound was fading away slightly, they were losing the hunter! The warm breath on the fur of his neck was quickening and his mother set him down, gasping for air, she nudged him gently and whispered, "Hide..." Before backing towards the hunter and running past him, he quickly followed.
Toby shivered as he watched his mother disappear into the forest, and the clomping pawsteps faded away, he pinned his ears back, just moments before he had been safe, curled up and asleep, now, he was alone...
The young pup scrambled to his paws and cautiously took a pace forward, he had to find the others, but which direction had he come? Toby shook his head and puffed out his chest, he had to find his own way back.
After what seemed like hours of walking, Toby collapsed onto the ground, his head was pounding and his paw-pads hurt. He could hear his heartbeat drowning out the sounds of the forest and every single muscle in his body ached, his tongue felt dry and his nose was tingling, all he could smell was the damp earth beneath his paws. Pawsteps echoed through his ears and he tried to pull himself up from the ground but couldn't, he wearily lifted his head to see a shadow looming above him, was it the hunter from earlier? Toby's last memory was the sky behind the shadow fading as he lost consciousness.
...
Toby yawned sleepily, the warmth huddled around him didn't smell like his mother, but it felt like her, kind of. He could hear the muffled sound of humans talking and confusion clouded him, he opened his eyes and blinked sleepily, he was inside a human den, there were humans talking inside the room, he was lying on the same thing the humans were sitting on, he turned his head to see a small, very odd looking dog curled up beside him, he rolled around and got to his paws, leaning closer to investigate the strange dog. When Toby was done sniffing the dog he sat down and tilted his head, as one large green eye slid open and the pupil within dilated against the light. The dog got up and loomed slightly above him, he gulped and took a careful step back, "im, sorry, sorry, I umm I didn't meant to, uh sorry, I didn't know this was your home, please don't hurt me..." He whimpered and rolled onto his back to show submission. The strange dog just stared at him, "I don't plan to harm you small one." Purred a silky, feminine voice, Toby opened an eye slightly and rolled onto his belly, then sat up,
"Your not?"
"No, Im Perry, whats your name?"
"Toby, Your a very strange looking dog..."
"That's because im a cat, not a dog."
"Oh. Do you know where my family is?..."
Perry lowered her gaze, "I heard the humans talking, your family are safe as far as I know, but the humans brought you here, if they left you, you could have died... If you want to return to the forest then I understand but you can stay for as long as you need to." She sat down and curled her tail around her paws. "Will you make sure im safe?..." Toby ventured, he took a pace towards the cat, who gazed down at him and smirked, "Of course, we animals got to stick together...", Toby closed his eyes and curled up against Perry, who snuggled up against him.
"You will always be safe with me..."
