I blame the really cheesy jokes on the stall door of my school's bathroom... "What do you say to your single friends on Valentine's Day?" "Happy Independence Day!"
It rang true with me.
I'm aromantic (if not that, I'm certainly asexual), so this is kind of a big joke to me. But guys, really, I know this day can be pretty hard on some people. And I know this is cliché, but there are people out there that love you. You're important to someone -- probably many someones -- and you have value. Odds are I've never met you, but I know you're important. Everyone is has a purpose. Who knows how different the world might be without you? You might not solve world hunger, but all the little things you do make a difference. There's no one quite like you out there, and you're your own unique, brilliant self. c:
