These are a hyena hybrid species from a landlocked area in an undiscovered remote desert. Instead of spots, they have various freckles dotted around their pelts. Their long tails are tied, so that they don't overheat and only males have backward-running manes. Females tend to have less fur and are slightly smaller. Their diet mainly consists of meat, being 90 percent carnivore, only eating berries and grasses to satisfy hunger, but they struggle to digest overly tough grasses. When food is plentyful, they prefer to scavenge rather than hunt, to conserve energy.
