His mother had an affair with the ruler, making Erebus a bastard child.
When he was born he was suppose to be killed, but he was saved by the rulers wife.
She thought he should have life,
but to be known as the bastard son of the king.
He got nothing from being blood related to the king. He provided his mother
with a house and food, but other than that he was for gotten.
Soon after Erebus was born, the ruler and his wife had a child, who they named Alexander.
Erebus envied his half brother, he grew up in a palace, while he grew up in
a small village outside of the rulers house. One day his father insisted that
Erebus and Alexander met each other, he wanted his sons to be close and not grow
apart. Erebus wanted to decline the offer but his mother thought it would be
a good idea. When they met, Erebus saw his brother, they looked completely different.
His coat was more blond and his eyes were blue, Erebus's eyes were grey. He bonded with
him younger brother over the years, going to each others birthdays parties and
having play dates. Over the years Erebus strayed away from the luxury life and
went exploring, since he was an outcast, he had more freedom. He would go out
on adventures that lasted days and come back with new things. Meanwhile
Alexander grew jealous of his brothers freedom. They started fighting a lot more,
drifting away and trying to attack each other when possible.
Erebus got tired of being compared to his half-brother so he decided to leave.
He left a note for his mother saying that he would never return. He ran off to a place
people called the devils woods. He knew he could seek help there. He could gain
power. He found a man, who's name he did not know. The man promised him power
and glory. Erebus gladly accepted his offer but did not know it would be
the biggest mistake of his life.
He was sent to hell, to become the bridge to Earth and the underworld.
He would greet souls as they entered the gates, and decided if they would
stay on the upper level or get casted to the lower levels.
He didn't mind doing it, its just over the centuries he was there,
he realized that his mother was long gone and so was Alexander.
He wanted to know what the world was like up above, he had heard stories from some souls,
saying that there had been many wars, and life threatening outcomes over the years.
