Welcome one and all to the amazing Luparuk Adoption Center! Here at our infamous stables you can find a wide selection of stunningly beautiful beasts, all rearing to go to their new homes. They require a strong willed handler to become the mighty racer they yearn to be, so its up to you to tame them. Do you have what it takes to wrangle one of these majestic creatures into your heart?
Species Information
- They are usually about 15-18 hands tall, the minimum being 14 and the max being 20.
- Lupas are very lightweight and agile creatures, able to swim, run, jump, and everything in between with ease.
- They prefer temperatures under 40 degrees fahrenheit, anything higher can cause heat stroke due to their long and heat packed fur. Humidity can also cause severe respiratory issues, which could kill them easily.
- Primarily they eat rotting meat and rotting fruits, though the occasional fish is a special treat.
- As scavengers, they dont like hunting unless needed, and instead like to chase other carnivores away from their freshly caught meals.
- A full grown adult can run up to 75mph, and even the young foals can manage at 60mph.
- While they are able to carry humans, they are very unsteady and hard to ride, so special tack is needed.
- They enjoy racing each other as well as other animals, making them a very playful and energetic species.
- Usually a Lupa always has some sort of stripping or line pattern in their fur, whether it be a full on brindle or a simple grullo.
- A male Lupa's horn can grow as long as their body if not clipped or worn down with play, but a female's will grow at a much slower rate and stay pretty much the same size their whole life.
- Bird like back legs are the most prominent feature of these beasts. They are extreamly strong, capable of crushing large skulls with ease, and grant them the amazing speeds that they are known for.
- Inside their mouths you will see very large canine teeth and a long slobbery blue tongue, much like a chow.
- This species has extremely acute senses, hearing being the most excellent.
