Patchwork walked outside the den to have some fresh air, when suddenly something whispered "Mother....?" So Patchwork went behind the den, and saw her lost pup, and ran over to hug her. "Pumpkin! Oh my goodness! Its so good so see you!" She burst into tears. "Mother... I'm lost, I could only come to you.." Pumpkin whined, then Patchwork licked her cheek. "Shh, shh, its alright... I'm so happy to see you though, but where's your wings?" Pumpkin looked to her back, then back into Patchwork's eyes, "I... Well, I had to have them taken away from me." Patchwork sighed, but then hugged Pumpkin firmer. "Oh Pumpkin.. I don't care what you look like, I just want to back in my life, even your siblings are full of sorrow without you, because you connected the family, you're our mascot. Aren't you allowed to come back?" Pumpkin shedded a few more tears, "I... I don't know.. I might ask." Then Pumpkin disappeared into the mist, and Patchwork flopped down, crying.
