For the longest time, I've really loved the idea of having my own species and being part of a community of people that came together because of it. However I'm not very creative when it comes to designing animal-based characters and my art skills aren't brilliant so I'd like to ask for your help! :) I have quite a lot of pets on Chicken Smoothie that rot in my trade group (801 at the moment, probably a lot more when I get around to organising my doubles from 2014 and 2015) and I'm going to offer the winners all of these pets as well as some of my rarer pets that I have more than one of in exchange for designs. I'm also going to offer either C$ or DA points to the first place winner of the contest.

What I like (Plus some examples of what I mean/like for inspiration only) :

. Cat/Canine/Fox based designs.

. I like species with a lot of fur and fluff, large eyes and generally 'cute' features. Kind of like the Pokemon Eevee.

. Plaits/braids, bells, feathers, bead necklaces, bottles, flowers, butterflies, wind chimes, stars, dreams.

. Tails that can be plaited or tied together in creative ways. Adopt 3 Adopt 3 Adopt 1

. Small, deer-like horns.

. A couple of different ear (Large upright ears and long floppy ears) and tail types.

. Child and adult lines. Clean lines. Layers.

. Sabre teeth.

. A background.

What I don't like

. I'm not a huge fan of overly complex designs.

. Huge wings.

. Overly gory or reptile like designs.

Prizes

1st Place :

Three hundred pets from my trading group.
C$ or DA points.
One 2008 very rare.
Permanent or guest artist if wanted.

2nd Place :

One hundred and fifty pets from my trading group.
One or two rare pets depending on year (still deciding on which pets).

Everyone Else :

Everyone who enters will get an entry prize from my trade group after the competition has ended so I can evenly give out the pets.

Rules

. You can enter as many times as you'd like.

. I'll only keep the winning two designs.

. Please be polite to me and everyone else involved in the competition.

. You can design the species however you want even if you use none of the things I like, they're just there to give you some ideas of what you could do.

. At the moment there is no end date. I'm thinking around February but I'm not sure yet.
