definitely think i'm going to make the mermaid species with some kind of pinniped tail.

their faces would be long with angular jaws, sharp and pointy teeth, whiskered faces and large eyes, big 'ole pupils and either sort of small pointy ears or largely ears with little jagged edges. I don't know if they should have those foreflippers, what do you think? instead of foreflippers their torsos could be shorter and they'd just have their arms instead of added flippers
