*Possible* new species idea to be added into Delta Velorum? Yes, no, maybe...
Would be a sort of NPC species like the Thornbuck, Threadmice, and Leviathan. This is kinda a half dog half bear (want it to be a bear species but I can't draw them! D8) thing with Porcupine quills on it's lower back and tail. Has thick almost armor like plated skin on the muzzle and top of the nose. No one knows what their feet look like, they are always covered in fur.
They are intelligent and highly territorial/aggressive.The older they get the fluffier they get, though most don't live long enough to grow a beard due to their aggressive behavior with both each other and other species. High ranking males tend to wear braids and charms, females don't wear anything.
Females can give birth up to 1-2 cubs per litter. Early in life cubs will develop their aggressive nature and fight with one another to show dominance. By the time a cub is fully grown they will have at least 2 scars on them, and will gain more as they get older.
