I've been doing a series of poems, and I am now doing some art to go along with them. I'm very proud of this 0^:
Poem and Art both by me!~
Poem and Art both by me!~
"I was outside, in the crisp autumn day
with my younger neighbors, who loved to play
We gathered up the dead leaves in a big pile
with a smile on my face, I knew this would be worthwhile.
The cold breeze blew all through our hair
We tidied up the pile, being sure to take care
I turned to the youngest with a sweet little grin
“Do you know why the leaves turn red?” I asked right then.
He looked a little confused, as he stared for a while
Then he turned to me with a little “I don’t know” smile
I understood he had no idea, so I continued to rake the leaves
“Do you know why the leaves turn orange?” I asked the second oldest with ease
The second oldest looked at me with a little shrug
Then he turned around, giving up on the answer, and gave a little “ugh”
I laughed a little laugh, seeing he hadn’t got a clue
“Do you know why the leaves turn yellow?” I asked turning to the oldest, looking at the sky blue
The oldest looked caught by surprise as he opened his mouth
He answered a quick “yes” then he turned to the south
I grinned and walked a bit closer, finally some one knew
“Then tell me how?” I asked with a quick glance, wondering if it was true.
“There are little fairies that come in the fall
And cast their magic on them all
They turn the leaves colors for all the humans to see
And now you know,” he finished smiling with glee.
I gave a little giggle looking at my friend,
And only I knew that he was right in the end.
For I am a fairy, my wings just stay hidden
And showing them to humans, I am forbidden."
