I didn't miss oekaki at all, not for their art source anyway.
it took me awhile to even adjust back to these settings, so this is a tad (lot) off. My style isn't as chunky, more like a variation between the anime style and the other artist's style. and my realism is laughable, but eh.
it was nice to sort of come back? idk.

yeah, i've been drifting away from the oekaki as well. and adding onto that, the browser i use doesn't support java anymore. so it's all on photoshop cs6, i found FA difficult sometimes.
