What Are Blazens?
Blazens are wolf-like canines that have very short fur. When you pet one, it feels fuzzy. They have flames on their front paws that keep them warm, which are fueled by the oxygen they breathe. The flame on their tail doesn't feel like anything; it is actually the source of their life force! If the flame on one's tail goes out or is quenched, then the Blazen will die. There has been no incidents of this so far. Wild Blazens do not need to drink. These two flames are almost always the same color, and it's extremely rare for them to be different colors. If they're different colors, this special gene is called Different-Color Flames. They also control fire themselves.
It is very common to see a Blazen walking with someone, they are very friendly and they don't mind if they're domesticated. They are very loyal to their owners, and are aware of strangers. They make good guard dogs, but respond poorly to being abused. Unlike wild Blazens, domesticated Blazens need to drink warm milk daily.
Blazens are carnivores, meaning they eat meat. They prefer steak most. Instead of eating the meat raw, they cook it with fire. They do not eat vegetation.
To mate, a male and a female Blazen must link tails and nuzzle eachother. Mating season is in Summer. They usually mate at night. Once they have mated, the male will go out to hunt while the female tries to find shelter.
Blazen babies are called pups. Usually when the male returns from hunting, the pup(s) is/are born. The female will never leave her den. Pup amounts range from 1-3, 1 being most common, and 3 being most rare, while 2 is sandwiched between. Pups are nursed until they are old enough to eat real meat and go outside the den.
Groups of Blazens are called Infernos. This is because when an Inferno is all together, it looks like a wildfire is going on! They are extremely social, and when left alone for at least an hour, they can really get bored.
