How did these come to be, you ask? I'l tell you.

It all started with a man.

He was known as Dr. E., and he was a scientist with a hunger to learn.
He was a talented man, but he filled his hunger in all the wrong ways.
He didn't think twice about anything he did, and he didn't care about
how things turned out in the end, as long as they turned out the way
he wanted them to. So how did these things come to be? Well, he had
a weak spot, which were animals. He wanted to know how their minds
worked. So he developed a serum. This was supposed to show how their
mind worked in only ways he knew. So he went out to trap any creature
he could find to use to test his serum. On his first hunt, he managed to
get his hands on two foxes. But when he tried out his serum, things went
horribly wrong. They ended up with strangely colored fur, long tongues,

and a corrupted mind.
