What are puffsnouts?
Puffin-Snouted Lizardtails, better known as "Puffsnouts", are a colorful mammal slightly resembling feline, a bird, and an alligator or lizard. They have large, stout bodies, are approximately three to four feet in height, have a large, sleek yet furred striped tail that resembles an alligator or leopard gecko's usually, a furry body, and a beak-like face. Their ears are tufted and somewhat similar in shape to that of a deers. Their noses' bridges are lined with several hard, scale like plates, they have whiskered faces, cat-like pawpads and claws that are retractable only on their front paws. Their back feet are somewhat bigger than their front paws, and also plated. These plates are more like armadillo "armor" than a reptile's scales, despite them often being called scales. Despite all these facts, puffsnouts are closest related to felines, and are not reptiles or birds at all. Each puffsnout has distinct patterns they all share, which are seven tail stripes, a circle on each cheek, and their tufted ear tips.
They are very intelligent, having their own complex language and able to learn the language of other animals and humans. They mainly eat fish, fruits and meat, however they do not eat birds. They have small, but very sharp fangs and long claws that are retractable only on their front paws. They live in groups called "Clouds" ( EX: A Cloud of Puffsnouts ) that claim their own territories, but are usually peaceful with their neighbors.
They are best known, however, for their seemingly mysterious abilities to travel around the universe by creating portals. This ability is natural to them and, while earth limits scientists have created haves no proper explanation for this phenomenon, puffsnouts are not supernatural or magical beings. Puffsnouts are native to a series of floating islands that are located above a distant planet,with the islands being called "Pufflandia" and the planet called "Islandia" ( said planet is dominated by a race alike to humans and many ways ).
