The Day of the Dead actually goes across 2 days. November 1, All Saint's Day, and November 2, All Soul's Day. On these days, Mexicans will decorate altars in their homes with elaborate decorations and set them up with the deceased's favorite food and drink. They sort of celebrate their loved ones ascent into the afterlife. They have music, food, and fun. The stores will sell many treats like chocolate skulls, candy coffins, sweet rolls, and many more treats.

This mare, Muerte, was named for her stunning skeleton-like markings. Year-round, Muerte is a rather kind and motherly mare. However, when Halloween and the Day of the Dead comes around, she can get...scary. She doesn't mean to be, but things will start to scare her only around those two holidays. She'll easily get spooked and she will get really anxious. It's like she can sense the spirits of the dead rising from the graves. Who knows. It might only be coincidence, or something more...
