Insects, small herbivores, even strangely shaped plants keep him up at night. His tail is almost permanently in the defensive position, and he spends his days being scared by his own food if it was not found within half a metre of the aforementioned tail.
What creeps him out the most: Birds. With their infernal flapping. Flap flap flap. The perfect little murderers, he knows! They sing their terrible song all day long, surely proclaiming the end of Nukkitas! Run! They glide, with their cruelbeaks and beady eyes and claws like death! ARGH, IT'S A SPARRRRRRRRRRRROW!

Thankfully they leave him be at night, but as soon as the sun reaches the middle of the sky he finds the most shaded spot he can and hunkers down. His favorite season is winter, partially because the grasshoppers return the depths of hell, but also because he enjoys the cold.
