The Lightstone series are starting to evolve away from the concept of the Lighstone and more towards the concept of alien invasion.... I'm still just classifying them together tho b/c they seem to be linked just slightly.
Anywho I guess this is like the.... 7th or 8th corruption of the spaceship...? And it's rather similar to the one where the spaceship looked almost like a black castle in the sky, with towers as rockets, in which humans built their own defense to defeat it with.
This dream was a lot different than the rest because it took place in a post-apocalyptic planet Earth in which the planet was a wasteland and the majority of the human species was destroyed by some disaster (when all others took place in the modern world). The disaster may have actually been that invasion of that last dream, and this one took place in the future, implying that the aliens had been chased off but not without a massive toll taken on the planet. Society & governments still exist, but on a very injured, poorly-regulated scale.
The dream actually took place majorly on Earth and with the complete absence of the invading ship, which did not emerge from black, swirling clouds in the sky until the end of the dream, or years later within the plot. The plot revolved majorly around the fact that a government, in a war over fading resources, nuked another country and I, with some others, were fleeing the radiation that blew over from the neighboring country miles away, seeking to travel as far as we could. I, somehow, had the ability to shapeshift, and spent the majority of the dream in the form of a tiny red dragon.
Apparently because I could shapeshift I was apparently special and these people wanted to capture me. I had been protected by the government in the previous country for the potential of being useful to them, but as war became eminent between them and the neighboring country, I wanted none of it and fled, unknowingly subjecting myself to the threats of smugglers who would try to contain me.
In the end I guess I ended up in another country, again under government protection b/c I was special, and it was then that the spaceship emerged. It was, very faintly, referred to as the Second Wave, implying that the Earth was like that because of a first alien invasion that we had driven off and, now, they had returned to finish it. The dream ended before anything else happened, and I only got to see the bottom of the ship--which is drawn--emerging from black, swirling clouds, but even then I only saw it through a computer screen as the event was being live recorded on camera.
Apparently--I think--my ability to shapeshift would be vital in defeating the Second Wave.
