Closed.
It was a nice idea at first but I won't be able to keep up with it. I can't handle running 2 adopts, especially with this one being so complicated.

This is the land of Askarikanda, a wondrous Savannah world filled with the hustle and bustle of intelligent creatures. Here, you may adopt Kats of this cultured region and summon them into your Clan. Train them in the ways of a warrior, dress them in armor, and even wage wars with the other Clans to reap the spoils as the victor. Will you reign supreme?

FAQ & Info

First, you start off with a Meerket Band with a maximum of 5 Slots.
Each Meerkat you adopt is added into this Clan, and their certain skills, according to the rank you choose, adds to your Clan's stats which can impact the outcome of "activities" you take part in, such as wars and even unlocking things in the shop. You can "expand" the 'territory' of your clan (aka add more slots so that you can adopt more meerkats) through a variety of ways, ideally by purchase or winning wars, for a maximum of 30 slots.
Ranks will impact your Clan's Stats.
Warriors add +1 Power Level to your Clan.
Leaders double your clan's Power Level. You can have a maximum of 2 leaders (dominant pair)
Medics add +1 Recovery Level to your Clan.
Kitsitters unlock the Nursery, and each can "watch" 2 Kits (allow you to breed more).
Ranks are chosen upon adoption, and except for in certain events, cannot be changed. Only Warriors and Leaders can wear armor, while any rank can have accessories applied.
Stats impact the outcomes of events you participate in and can unlock some activities.
Your clan's Power Level is impacted by Warriors, Leaders, and the Armor they wear. This effects your likeliness to win in Wars as well as unlocking things in the Shop, such as lion-hunting. While you do not need a Leader to partake in activities, having a leader to command your Kats in battle greatly boosts their coordination and cooperation, increasing their ability to work together and therefore doubling their power level.
Your clan's Recovery Level is impacted by Medics and their training. It increases how frequently you can wage Wars. By default, you can only wage war once per War Day; your Kats are then exhausted and injured, and cannot enter battle again until the next War Day. Medics, however, can tend to injuries, allowing your clan to 'recover' faster and fight wars more frequently for a maximum of 5 wars a day. (ratios still being figured out)
Your clan's Kitsitters can "watch" kits. You cannot breed until you have at least 1 Kitsitter in your clan, and once you do the Nursery is unlocked. Each one can watch 2 kits, which basically means that for each Kitsitter you have, you can have 2 babies in the clan, for a maximum of 6 babies. These baby slots are freed once they are grown, and are not effected by PPSs, which take up adult slots.
Stat-enhancing Items & Activities can increase your clan's Stats through means other than adoption.
Armor increases individual Kat's power levels and can only be applied to Warriors or Leaders. Some sets of armor are more powerful than others; Armor can be purchased via the Armory, but can also be purchased through events or won/unlocked from Achievements. They are only effective if a member of the clan is wearing them.
Training for Medics can increase their individual Recovery Levels. The initial training can be purchased from the Shop, but afterwards effects every Medic in the clan since they share this knowledge with each other; in other words, it's a 1-time purchase.
Bedding also increases the Recovery Level of a clan, but no Medics are needed to purchase it. Your exhausted warriors can have a comfortable place to rest so that they recover from battle more quickly.

Rarities & Mutations

Postby Soulsplosion » Wed Sep 16, 2015 10:35 am

Image
The appearances of different Kats may vary.
Their mutations are organized into 5 groups: Pelt, Marking, Eyes, Faults, & Anatomical.
These are separated, and cannot combine within their own class. To supersede another mutation means to cover it up; for example, an Albino kat cannot be Silver or have green eyes, because the Albino mutation supersedes those, making the pelt white and the eyes red no matter what.

Image
Typical Traits
Most Kats have melding shades of brown that blend together, with markings
consisting of darker and/or lighter spotted stripes going up/down.

    [ p e l t s ]
The Kat's Pelt describes their basic pelt color scheme.
Image Image Image
    Brown: Common
Most Kats have shades of brown that blend together. The markings are white and/or black.
    Silver (Maltese): Rare
Some Kats have shades of gray instead of brown. The markings blend in with the pelt and don't stand out as easily. This is typical of northwestern Mountain and eastern Seaside Kats.
It doubles the likeliness of No Markings.
    Melanism: Rare
Melanistic Kats are very dark-colored and have few light markings. This is typical of northern Jungle Kats and western Cavern Kats that need this dark coloration to blend in with their dark environment.

    [ m a r k i n g s ]

    Stripes: Common
Most Kats have basic stripes that are thin and easily separated. They are slightly rough-shaped, occasionally broken and spotted.
    Brindle Stripes: Uncommon
Kats with Brindle stripes have stripes that are thick and blotchy. They mold together.
    Specks: Rare
Some Kats have specks or spots instead of stripes.
    No Markings: Rare
Few Kats have no markings at all. This is more commonly found in the Maltese tribes of the Mountains.

    [ f a u l t s ]
Faults are genetic mutations that aren't typical of race or region. Because of that, they may supersede other mutations.
Image Image Image
    Piebald: Uncommon
Commonly found in cats and horses, to be piebald is to have blotches of missing pigment (white).
    Halved: Extremely Rare
Not to be confused with Piebald, to be Halved is basically to be Piebald but with blotches of different colors rather than blotches of white, such as this lobster. Both parents must be of the different pelt types for this to be possible.
It supersedes the Pelt and triples the likeliness of Heterochromia.
    Albino: Extremely Rare
Not to be confused with Silver or Piebald, Albinism is the major lack of pigment anywhere. Unlike other species, Albinism in Askarikandan Kats does not mean 100% white, and they may still have very faint markings visible. They always have red, pink, or silver eyes.
It supersedes the Eye and Pelt mutations.

    [ e y e s ]
Image Image
    Typical Eyes
Normal eye colors consist of shades of blue, green, yellow, orange, and brown.
    Heterochromia: Rare
Eyes are different colors or contain different colors in them.

      These things just don't exist.

    Tribal Markings
MOAs cannot have elaborately or specifically shaped markings.
    Neon or Unrealistic Colors

Rules & FAQ

Postby Soulsplosion » Wed Sep 16, 2015 10:36 am

    [general]
✦ Depending on your territory, you can own 5-30 Kats. Do not exceed your limit at any given time.
✦ Be kind & respectful. No harassment, begging, or discrimination.
✦ Kats may be any existing gender/sexuality.
✦ Only opposite sexes can breed.
✦ Keep to the given world and setting. No AUs outside of Askarikanda and its lore.
    [clans & ranks]
      ✦ Existing ranks are:
        -Warrior
        -Leader
        -Kitsitter
        -Medic
      Kats cannot be recorded rankless
✦ Ranks cannot be changed except in certain instances
✦ Recorded ranks do not necessarily have to affect AU ranks (i.e. a kat's rank in a public roleplay)
✦ Similarly, recorded Clans do not have to affect AU clans, such as in public roleplays.
    [exchange]
All transfers must be passed through Soulsplosion via PM to be considered official.
✦ Users may exchange Kats, Territory, & Items freely.
✦ Items will be unequipped when transferred, and appropriate stat changes recorded.
    [workload limits]
✦ These rules are implemented for the purpose of relieving a workload on staff.
      Limits on exchanges:
        - A user may trade with other users once per day. This is technically infinite, but it just must be all sent in one pm, not different scattered pms. I cannot and would not be able to keep track of that. I am human.
        - You may only purchase items once a day. Again this is technically infinite, but all purchases must be made in a single post, not different scattered posts throughout the day. Once you comment to purchase something from the shop, you can't come back to purchase another thing later--it must be all at once.
        - You may only partake in one activity per day except for Wars or special event activities, which may have other limits.
        - You can only change items on Kats once per day.

    [How do I adopt one?]
To adopt a MOA see the UFA section and click on the image of one you like. The host should have a form available for you to follow.
[How do I create a Clan?]
You don't have to! You are automatically given a "clan" status just by existing. Adopt your first Kat to start building it up.
    [What is a Clan?]
A Clan is a group of your Kats that you can use to engage in interactive activities, such as wars and events. It has a Power and Revival level depending on the skill levels of its members; these skill levels effect the outcomes of your activities.
[Do my Kats always have to be in the same clan?]
You mean within the archives? Yes, since you only have one clan, there are no other clans that you can put them in. However, outside of the Archives? The way they are recorded to not technically have to affect their canon histories as an OC. For the purpose of storywriting, roleplays, and etc, you may create AUs.
    [Can I have multiple Clans?]
No. Each user only has one clan.
[Can different users have Kats in the same clan?]
Within the Archives? No, Clans are individual and cannot be co-owned. However, in instances such as public AUs in public roleplays, you may pretend they are in the same clan, yes.
