snow dragons are a species native to the far north, favoring tundra and mountains as their habitat. they have large paws to easily traverse snow, ice, and rocks, lots of fluff to keep warm, and a long tail to use as a blanket. their wings have evolved into vestigial 'horns' of sharp bone, just like those that grow from their skull. this reduces the body mass that needs to be kept warm and acts as a defense. they usually live in small groups of 3-5 snow dragons, but loners are not uncommon.
