Here's the short story(It is 413 words long c: )!:

The small black Sanskira was weak and frail upon birth. No one knew if she would even survive the night. Her name was Sky Watcher. Perhaps the angels were watching over the small Sanskira, giving her the strength to keep going, because she never gave up.

With each month Sky Watcher kept fighting and gaining strength. She is a fighter, that’s for sure. Now as she has grown over the year, you could hardly tell that she was that small, scrawny filly that was born. Now people that know her well call her Skye for short. But because she is often seen at night watching the stars, she has come very true to her name, and many still call her Sky Watcher.

Skye always has the bold and courageous attitude. Always finding new ways to get out of her field. She is often seen prancing around bringing cheer everywhere she goes and simply enjoying life when she is not being mischievous. Though she is very mischievous, she is also very shy with other sanskira and people she does not know.

One day she saw a spot where the fence was lower in her field and galloped full speed to it. With further examination she found that it was the perfect size for her to jump over. She moved back, ran and cleared the jump. When she landed on the other side she saw her furry friend Nyx.“How do you do, young filly? And what are you doing out again!” he said as he looked at her with a twinkle in his eye. “Nothing, really. I just wanted to explore some before someone notices that I am missing!” Skye said as she looked down at him. She notices that he keeps smiling and looked like he was about to go nuts. “ What did you find this time?” she asked. “Oh, I just went farther than what I have before. Come! I will show you!” He said excitedly.

Skye galloped behind Nyx as he ran through their little area that they called the forest. She spotted the old shack that they had found a few weeks ago to the right of an open clearing ahead of them. Then she saw what all the excitement was about. In the forest on other side of the clearing was an opening in a pile of rocks that was lit up by a light inside. That's weird she thought, I don’t remember there being an opening there before...
