A young Thoroughbred was dragged into the starting gate, he nickered and tried to back out, but was whipped on the butt. This spooked him, making him dart into the gate, the other jockeys closing it before he could start out again. The buzz of the starting bell startled the horse. He darted out wanting to get away from the sound of the bell.
“There goes Class Act’s Zeal, to the front.” the announcer said in the microphone. Zeal lifted his head at his name, and then listened to the others behind him, “Gypsy Meteor behind him. Reaction-2-Shock in third. And way in the back, Robbin’-da-banc.
Getting back to the race, Zeal pressed on, he didn’t want to win, but he didn’t want to get hurt either. Suddenly, Recation-2-Shock got a jolt of bravery and began to speed up, passing Gypsy Meteor. Zeal heard his hooves beating the ground behind him; his jockey hit him with a whip to get him going faster, to get his wings out. The young Zeal listened to the jockey; he quickly got his wings out. However, the jockey wasn’t ready; his right leg was on top of Zeal’s wing as they began to take off. The strength of Zeal’s wings knocked the jockey off. The sudden weight loss made Zeal go crazy.
Quickly landing, the Thoroughbred sped towards the finish line; he wanted to win the race, but fair and square, not with wings. Once he passed the finish line there was pause, no announcer to say her won. Zeal began to trot around the track; he turned and watched Recation-2-Shock pass the line. Once he did, the crowd went wild, the announcer told the crowd, “Recation-2-Shock wins by a landslide. Class Act’s Zeal is disqualified due to no rider at the end of the race. Let’s go to the winners circle.”
Tears began to stream from Zeal’s eyes, he was glad for React, but knew what was coming to him.

Now that I look back on this... I think the fire background on the orignal one, looks better. But tell me what you think.
