What are Avadae?
We're very happy to have you here, feel free to pull up a stump and join in on the fun with these little guys! Butwhat are Avadae? Well, Avadae are small, fox-like creatures with something odd about them... Bird legs! These creatures love to light the paths of anyone who is lost with their lanterns. Avadae are climbers, and make sounds like both birds and foxes, but do not have wings. Each one has a special power that is given to them by deities of that power. They live in clans led by a Chief or Cheiftain, and their youngsters are called Daelings. I hope you enjoy your visit and decide to put your name on one of them.

coding is a long process, so excuse the mess.

Here will be a community art feature, for any art of already-claimed Avadae, or art of my own Avadae. I will change these out periodically.

- There is no limit on Avadae yet but there will be in the future, so don't be greedy.
- All of Tess's rules apply. This includes drawing in the Oekaki program for artists.
- Avadae may be used as fursonas with proof and explicit permission from me (Meddled.), due to my own fursona being one of them.
- Please be active in the community. If you are not active, please do not apply.
- I reserve the right to take Avadae from rulebreakers.
- Customs are for artists and special events only.
- If you don't want your Avada anymore, PM me so I can rehome it!
- Do not sell or trade Avadae without my permission.
- Do not make your own/steal designs.
- do not claim species as your own
- I support all genders and orientations. If you have a same-sex couple, that's fine! The only problem is they cannot breed properly and will have to adopt in most cases. I may decide in the future this can happen.

Artists
- All of Tess's rules apply. This includes drawing in the Oekaki program for artists.
- The Glowstick necklace MUST be redrawn in a new shape or added onto. Add decoration or to the rest of the necklace, please.
- Each Avadae is given more feathers than I've drawn, so you'll have to draw more yourself. They don't have to be good, though.
- Please do not make a full-neon Avadae. Using them as accents are fine, but try not to cover the Avadae in them!
- Do not remove my signature!

The color of the lantern symbolizes different things
Pink is fairies(arcane), yellow is light,(common)
--Light blue air, red something random that I can't decide
--Green is nature, dark blue water.(Less common)
--Orange fire, brown earth(these are only connections, not exactly powers)(common)
--Purple void or mind(rareish), black darkness or death(rare)
--white is reserved for those who have earned it - only given to the highest and most noble of Avadae, mainly the Gods.

Avadae Clans
Avadae don't form clans based on element, but on family ties and beliefs. there are three major clans and a few smaller ones, but there is the info on the main three.
The Clans are centered around a large pool, called the Lake of the tired. This lake is where ancient Avadae join their predecessors and ancestors in the next life, leaving behind their lantern at the bottom, which results in a slight glow near the bottom. Stepping into this pool when it is not your time to can result in punishment - usually the mind shutting down and becoming unresponsive, though it varies. So most avoid falling or going into the pool.

The Tricarde Clan

The tricarde clan lives in the
densest part of the main forest,
around a clear blue lake. High
up in the trees, they protect it
from outsiders and pollution by
posting scouts that rotate on
and off. They are a very proud
clan, and strong, too. They
aren't boastful, but do tend to
look down on others
accidentally. They realize their
mistakes and try to make up for
it, hosting parties and treating
guests like gods when they do
something wrong.

The Grienpar Clan

The Grienpar Clan lives in the brightest
part of the forest, around a stream that
feeds from the Tricarde Pool.

The Reimdod Clan

The Reimdod clan lives near the edge
of the forest. They are the most
secretive clan, though friendly.
