:O so perfect!
Name:Keeper of Secrets//Kimi
Owner:Bella278436
Fact:Kimi means "secret" in native American Algonquin! Jk, not my actual fact! My fact will be about the meaning of the paint on this Oxirie!
Well, according to Native American War Paint for horses, this Oxirie has a few meanings to her paint!
ImageImage Arrows were painted on to bring victory!
ImageZigzag lines, known as lightning blots, or thunder stripes, were painted on to increase power and speed, along with pleasing the God of War.
ImageThese shapes can sometimes be confused for horseshoes, which are similar in shape:Image, but have a different meaning. Horseshoes show the amount of stolen horses during a raid. Instead, these are hail stones. They are part of a prayer to bring hail to fall onto the enemy.
ImageArrow heads, such as these, were painted on all four hooves were painted on to make the horse swift and nimble-footed!
ImageFinally, two crossing bars show that the horse and rider, in this case, Oxirie and owner, have survived an ambush.

But these symbols are not the only war paint that hold a meaning. Colors meant different things as well.
Purple symbolizes power, mystery, and magic.
Green symbolizes endurance, and is seen as a great healing power and believed to improve vision, which is why it is often seen around the eye of a horse.
Red symbolizes war, blood, strength, energy, and power.
    Blue symbolizes wisdom and confidence.
White symbolizes mourning, but is also thought to bring peace.
Black symbolizes victory, and would sometimes be applied to the horse before returning home to the camp.
