Long ago, the home of the Jewel Cats was first at a plain, made up entirely of rocks and pieces of crystals sticking up. But a sudden quake had ripped through that serene place. Now, it is nothing but ruins. Most cats of the Jewel Tribe went to the Crystal Mountain using a safe underground route. However, one cat decided to find another home, in a Clan, not a tribe.
Until now.
A hundred years later, Crystal, a descendent of that cat that found a Clan home, has a dream. Her dream foretells the downfall of the Jewel Cats and the rise of a new group of cats, a sworn enemy, that can be stopped, one unknown way. Crystal and her friends must follow the Path of Fire, a dangerous path that leads to the main entrance to the Jewel Tribe to warn them of the oncoming danger. Yet, who to trust, in times like these?
